Gone are the austere, monochromatic designer gifts of yesteryear. Cue Mashmaster, the bright, bold and daring original card game and gift that shows that beyond a doubt, more really is more.

The mission was to deliver a memorable and innovative end of year gift which needed to cut through the festive clutter, leaving audiences saying “Wow, that’s cool.”

The big idea behind this masterpiece is ‘Better Together’ – which reflects the partnership between us and our clients. It’s also well-aligned with our brand story: Strategy + Creative as two complementary forces. Everything about this limited edition gift tells the story of two great things coming together. The packaging itself is a game of two halves, mixing floral and geometric patterns. Our original baked creation, the Mallington is a combination marshmallow + lamington – Yum! And then there’s the pièce de résistance, our Mashmaster card game that centres around portmanteaus. Think cronut, labradoodle, bromance and Brangelina (whoops, perhaps not that last one!).

The feedback from our clients has been amazing – saying the gift is hilarious, OTT, super-creative, innovative and very, very clever. We’ve heard lots of stories of the game being played at home, and we’ve even played it with a few clients over drinks. We’ve coined many new portmanteaus, many of which we can’t repeat. And one client liked the Mallington so much, they are getting it re-made for their wedding! Mission complete.
